One sunny day we decided to go for a kayak adventure in Canal Chambly. Our initial goal was to fish as well, but we couldn’t catch one 🙂 .
Canal Chambly.
Canal Chambly is located on the south shore, approximately 30 km from Montreal. It’s a National Historic Site of Canada. The canal is running along the Richelieu River for 12 km starting from Fort Chambly and has 9 locks.
The operation of the canal dated from 1843. It served as one of the main commercial routs between Canada and US. From 1970 the traffic was occupied by recreational vessels.
We had two goals in mind – kayaking and fishing.
Advanced Elements Convertible Kayak.
Even though we live in a small apartment, but we are proud owners of nice inflatable kayak.
The model I chose is:
Advanced Elements Advanced Frame Convertible Inflatable KayakIt’s very durable, stable, could be paddled by one or two kayakers. Our kayak comfortably fits three of us 🙂 .
I always feel so excited when we go kayaking and can reach the places which usually out of the sight.
Fishing in our family.
The fishing is another hobby of our family. This is one of the reasons why we purchased the kayak. And of course we have fishing equipment 🙂
We are not very experienced anglers, but all of us already caught few nice fishes this season.
This time we caught zero fish for different reasons – time of the day, tactics, maybe something else.
But overall this fishing failure didn’t spoil our adventure on Canal Chambly and we definitely will be back soon.
And next time more prepared for the big fish 😉
