Location

Sector L’Assomption in Mont-Tremblant national park is the most untamed part of the park. And we have a good opportunity to check what kind of accommodation they have to offer πŸ˜‰

What does it look like

This is a classic ready-to-camp tent.

BTW, made in France. The propane oven is outside, near the entrance door. As well as a fridge on propane with a freezer compartment. Also, it has a small lock – to protect your food from insolent visitors.

There is a small porch where you can have your cup of coffee on a rainy morning πŸ™‚. As we did πŸ˜‰

Near the tent, there is an outdoor table with 2 benches where you sit, eat, play chess, or do whatever you like πŸ™‚

A campfire pit with a grill. So far, we’ve used a grill only once, in Mastigoush wild reserve and the stakes were delicious πŸ˜‹

Inside. Kitchen corner

The room inside is visually divided into 2 sections.

The first one, close to the entrance, is a kitchen with a pretty big table and 4 chairs from one side and a large cupboard with all kitchen utensils from another.

They have everything you need for cooking : a frying pan, a few pans of different sizes, forks, spoons, knives, plates, spatula, barbecue tongs, cups, wine glasses, liquid dish soap, sponges, towels. And what I really like to see – is a blue recycling bin.

Inside. Sleeping area

A sleeping area is designed as a small tent divided by 2 equal compartments. Each compartment has 2 matrasses and 4 pillows. You can bring your sleeping bags and pillowcases. Or your own inflatable pillows. Each compartment could be closed by a curtain which is folded along the side when you don’t need it.

Also, there is a light from a small solar battery outside. And heater. Heater, refrigerator work on propane. There are no electrical sockets and you can not charge your phone. So bring a power bank with you.

Windows, door

All windows have mosquitos nets which are covered with transparent plastic from outside and nontransparent curtains from inside. They could be folded till you need them. Depends on the weather, you can put plastic coverage on or aside. The same for curtains: on the windows at night, rolled down during the day. All of them are on zipping.

Small visitors

Almost right after we entered the tent, I’d noticed some marks of some small animal πŸ™‚ And I thought it was a mouse. But not more than 1 hour later we found out that it was a squirrel. And she knew a special hole in our tent πŸ™‚

Neighbors

The distance and amount of trees and bushes between tents were enough to give us some privacy. And our neighbors most of the time were quiet enough to make us enjoy our stay there πŸ™‚

Washing room, toilet

A few minutes away from our tent. You have to pay if you want to take a shower. So, make sure you have enough quarters πŸ™‚

Service

No service. We forgot to check in a phone what is our tent number before entering the L’Assomption sector. And went to a small visitor center to ask them to check this info in their network. But they had no such possibility and called to the main visitor center to ask. So, bear it in mind when heading to such places πŸ™‚

Overall we liked this place. L’Assomption sector will provide you full nature immersion 😍
