It could be challenging to find activities for your kiddos on Easter Sunday. Because many places are closed. Some activities which we’ve enjoyed in the past are not available anymore. But fortunately there are still options and here we list some of them.
1. Eggs hunt in Quinn Farm.

This farm is located on Île Perrot and became a famous destination for Montrealers year around. On Easter day kids enjoy eggs hunt with the chance to exchange them to the chocolate. The farm has animals, playground, offers tractor ride and shop to buy more cookies.
2. Eggs hunt in Ecomuseum Zoo.

Ecomuseum is a unique outdoor zoo which specializes on Quebec’s wildlife. All animals in the zoo are those who cannot survive in the nature due to the injures they have. We highly advise visit this place and support them. And they are open on Easter day. Book your tickets online before arrival. Otherwise you can find yourself stuck in the long waiting line.
3. Watching butterflies in Botanical Garden.

Botanical Garden has annual exhibition of the butterflies. Thousand of multicolored butterflies are flying in the large indoor solarium. Bouquets of tropical fruits are offered to them, which is a perfect place to take unforgettable shoots. Online booking is advised. Especially on Easter day, Botanical Garden could be crowded.
4. Feeding animals at Omega Park.

This park is 1:30 hour drive from Montreal. But it is worth visiting regardless of the season. The park allows visitors to merge with the wildlife. All animals of the park live in their natural environment and look very happy. Many animals walk free among the cars. Be patient while waiting for one of them to let you move. Don’t forget that you are the guest 🙂
There are few hiking trails. One of them – The First Nation Trail. It allows you to discover the story of each of the 11 first nations represented by totems. On the trails you can meet the deer who will happily accept a carrot.
Take a tractor shuttle to the Old Farm. Enjoy watching a wood carving by local artist. And don’t forget to pick a maple taffy on snow in the Sugar Shack.
Tips to remember:
- Please check the destination you plan to visit in advance. As was already mentioned some of them could change the plans and stay closed on Easter day.
- The weather still unpredictable. So be prepared.
- Almost all listed places offer picnic areas. So grab your snack or buy on place.
- Enjoy!
